摘要
Abstract
Atrial-esophageal fistula is a rare complication of radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation.It can serve as a two-way channel for air,bacteria,food debris,and digestive juices to move between the digestive system and circulatory system,leading to various symptoms such as neurological damage,systemic embolism,infection,and upper gastrointestinal bleeding.The mortality rate is extremely high.The neurological damage induced by atrial-esophageal fistula is one of the main causes of death in patients,usually complicated with embolism,infection,and cerebral hemorrhage.Due to the lack of specificity in clinical manifestations,atrial-esophageal fistula is often missed or misdiagnosed,consequently depriving patients of the optimal therapeutic window.This article reviews the neurological damage induced by atrial-esophageal fistula,in order to enhance clinicians'understanding of the neurological complications of this disease and take effective treatment measures as early as possible.关键词
