Abstract
Direct-to-handset communication via low earth orbit(LEO)satellites has emerged as a critical enabler for global connectivity and integrated terrestrial-satellite networking in sixth-generation(6G)mobile communication systems.This technology has garnered significant attention from both industry and academia,positioning itself as a global research hotspot.This paper aims to analyze the latest advancements in direct-to-handset communication using LEO satellites,emphasizing its link technologies and associated challenges.The study begins with an overview of the current state of development,including the technical approaches and implementation methods.It then delves into key aspects such as channel modeling,network architecture,time-frequency synchronization,frequency coexistence,random access,spaceborne antenna technologies,and handset antenna design.Finally,the paper concludes by summarizing the findings,highlighting potential challenges in practical applications,and outlining future research directions for this promising field.关键词
