Abstract

In response to the problems in the management of customs animal and plant quarantine samples,such as gaps in data collected,lack of transport supervision,risks in laboratory operations and difficulties in traceability,a comprehensive intelligent monitoring system was constructed to improve the effectiveness of border biosafety management.In the study,a closed-loop system covering sample collection,intelligent transport,laboratory testing and disposal traceability was designed through integrating QR code technology,radio frequency identification(RFID),the internet of things(IoT)and blockchain technology.End-to-end digital traceability,real-time anomaly alerts and forensic-level preservation of testing data were achieved through anti-counterfeit labels and APP standardized guidelines during sampling,intelligent leak-proof containers with constant-temperature control and real-time environmental monitoring during transport,direct connection among devices and preservation of blockchain evidences during testing,and biosafety safeguarded by reminders of intelligent retention of samples and automated disinfection during post-processing.Risk prediction and regulatory decision-making were also supported.The efficiency and safety of sample management could be greatly improved by the intelligent management system spanning the entire lifecycle of samples,which served as an achievable technical solution for customs intelligent supervision,playing a practical role in preventing biosafety risks and optimizing resource allocation.
