Abstract
China's comprehensive agricultural production capacity has been steadily improving,but resource and environmental con-straints have intensified,and the development mode is in urgent need of a green transformation.As the most important agricultural pro-ducers in China,smallholder farmers are crucial to the realization of comprehensive green development of agriculture.The rapid devel-opment of agricultural industrial organizations provides an important opportunity to guide these farmers to implement green productive behaviors.Based on this,it is particularly important to sort out the theoretical mechanisms of organizational participation influencing farmers'green productive behaviors and to clarify their effects.This study first constructed a theoretical framework for analyzing the in-fluence of organizational participation on farmers'green productive behaviors.Then,it empirically analyzed the comprehensive influ-ence,segmentation differences,and internal mechanisms of organizational participation on farmers'green productive behaviors by us-ing research data from 686 vegetable growers in Hebei,Shandong,Liaoning,Beijing,and Tianjin.The results showed that:① Organiza-tional participation had a significant promotion effect on farmers'green productive behaviors,and this conclusion still held after a series of robustness tests.② The impact of organizational participation on farmers'green productive behaviors showed inclusion rather than discrimination.Compared with farmers with high human capital,such as the new generation,high education levels,and more produc-tion experience,organizational participation also had a significant promotion effect on the green production behaviors of farmers with low human capital,such as the older generation,low education levels,and less production,and there was no significant difference.Orga-nizational participation had a significant positive effect on the green production behaviors of farmers with high physical capital(high in-come,new facilities,and owning cultivators)and those with low physical capital(low income,old facilities,and not owning cultivators),and there was also no significant difference.③ Price spillover,information access,and green cognition were the intrinsic mechanisms by which organizational participation promoted farmers'implementation of green productive behaviors.Accordingly,the following poli-cy recommendations are proposed:First,the government should improve the support policies for the green development of agriculture and accelerate the construction of a green agricultural product market.Second,industrial organizations should actively fulfill their so-cial responsibilities and play an exemplary and leading role in green production.Third,farmers should explore new forms of cooperation with industrial organizations to improve green production efficiency.关键词
