Alzheimer's disease and cerebral small vessel disease:interwoven pathology and common journey
摘要
Abstract
Dementia was a global public health issue and has become one of the major chronic diseases seriously threatening human health.Alzheimer's disease(AD)and vascular dementia(VaD)were the two most common causes of dementia in the elderly.Cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD)was a common cause of vascular cognitive impairment.There was a complex interaction between AD and CSVD.This article systematically explores the relationship between the two in terms of clinical phenotypes and pathological mechanisms.It summarizes the current status and challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of AD and emphasizes the significance of managing vascular risk factors in the early intervention of dementia.关键词
