感官障碍与阿尔茨海默病关联的流行病学研究及其病理机制
Epidemiological study on the relationship between sensory impairment and Alzheimer's disease and its pathological mechanism
摘要
Abstract
Alzheimer's disease(AD)is the most common type of dementia among older people that significantly affects health and quality of life.Currently,there is no cure,and identifying modifiable risk factors and early diagnostic biomarkers for early preventive and therapeutic interventions becomes crucial.Evidence from epidemiological research has suggested that sensory impairments(e.g.,olfactory,auditory,and visual impairments)are closely linked to AD,especially when sensory impairments occur in young adulthood and middle ages.In this review,we sought to brieflysummarize evidence from epidemiological research that explores the interrelationship between sensory impairments and AD,and further to discuss about the potentialbiological mechanisms underlying their relationships.This review article may help to increase the public awareness of sensory impairments and dementia and to provide a theoretical basis for the early detection and prevention of AD.关键词
