Infection Status and Distribution Characteristics of Six Common Respiratory Pathogens in Patients with Respiratory Tract Infections in the Jinhu Region

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the infection status and distribution characteristics of six common respiratory pathogens among individuals with respiratory tract infections in the Jinhu region.Method:A total of 2,808 patients with respiratory tract infections admitted to Jinhu County People's Hospital from December 2023 to November 2024 were selected as the research subjects.The nucleic acids of influenza A virus,influenza B virus,respiratory syncytial virus,adenovirus,human rhinovirus and Mycoplasma pneumoniae in the throat swab samples of the patients were detected by multiplex real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR technology.The infection status of the six respiratory pathogens and their differences in different genders,ages and seasons were analyzed.Result:The total detection rate of the six respiratory pathogens was 61.15%of the 2,808 samples submitted for testing.Among the 1,707 positive specimens,single infection accounted for 80.55%,double infection and triple infection accounted for 18.11%and 1.34%respectively.The top three detection rates of the six respiratory pathogens were adenovirus(20.16%),human rhinovirus(18.27%),and Mycoplasma pneumoniae(11.11%).There was no statistically significant difference in the detection rates of the six respiratory pathogens between different genders(P>0.05).The detection rates of six respiratory pathogens in different age groups were compared,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among patients under 18 years old,adenovirus and human rhinovirus detection rates were more high(27.09%and 23.33%),while among patients aged 18 to 35 years old,over 35 to 54 years old and over 54 years old,the detection rate of influenza A virus was the highest(18.45%,17.95%,and 16.17%).The detection rates of the six respiratory pathogens were compared in different seasons,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The highest detection rates in spring and autumn were human rhinovirus(23.93%,21.35%),while in summer and winter,the highest detection rates were adenovirus(26.55%,21.14%).Influenza A virus was more common in autumn and winter,with detection rates of 16.40%and 16.67%,respectively.Influenza B virus was more common in winter and spring,with detection rates of 17.07%and 12.27%,respectively.Respiratory syncytial virus was more common in winter and spring,with detection rates of 11.59%and 9.36%,respectively.Adenovirus was less common in autumn,with a detection rate of 5.39%.Conclusion:The application of nucleic acid detection of six common respiratory pathogens in the population of respiratory infection in Jinhu region can quickly diagnose the pathogen category,and provide a certain reference for the prevention and treatment of the disease in combination with the distribution characteristics of age,genders,season and epidemiological characteristics.关键词
