Research Progress on the Mechanisms of Electroacupuncture in the Treatment of Postherpetic Neuralgia
摘要
Abstract
Postherpetic neuralgia(PHN)is a common clinical neuropathic pain disease. Its symptoms, such as persistent and severe spontaneous pain, impose a significant burden on patients. However, drug therapy is associated with certain limitations, such as limited efficacy and a high incidence of adverse reactions.Electroacupuncture has gained widespread recognition in the field of analgesia, and a growing number of scholars have confirmed its exact efficacy in the treatment of PHN,but the related mechanisms remain unclear. This article reviews the literature on the mechanisms of electroacupuncture in treating PHN from multiple levels, including the periphery, spinal cord, and brain regions. It is found that electroacupuncture exerts positive analgesic effects by regulating peripheral inflammatory responses, modulating ion channels, influencing cell signaling pathways, regulating central sensitization, inhibiting the activation of spinal glial cells, and altering the descending pain inhibitory system.Acupoints such as Zusanli(ST36),Sanyinjiao(SP6),and Huantiao(GB30)are frequently selected, with a frequency of 2 Hz being commonly used.关键词
