海刀豆对热带珊瑚岛的生理生态适应性
Ecophysiological adaptability of Canavalia rosea to tropical coral islands

Abstract
[Objective]This study aimed to reveal the physiological and ecological characteristics of the bryo-phyte Canavalia rosea and its adaptive strategies to the harsh environment of tropical coral islands.[Method]Annual C.rosea plants growing in coral soil(SS2),coral soil with mainland soil(SS1)on tropical coral islands in Sansha City,and in mainland Guangzhou(GZ)were investigated.We measured the leaf water content,carbon and δ13C con-tent,contents of N,P,K and Ca,non-structural carbohydrates(NSC),as well as phytohormones and photosynthetic pigments.[Result]Compared with plants from Guangzhou,C.rosea grown in SS1 and SS2 showed significant dif-ferences in multiple physiological indicators.The δ13C values were higher by 11.79%and 10.68%respectively;phosphorus content was higher by 89.62%and 178.81%;and GSH content was higher by 87.63%and 174.63%.Meanwhile,the N∶P ratio was lower by 45.01%and 54.60%;soluble protein content was lower by 55.68%and 53.34%;SOD was lower by 70.01%and 60.93%;soluble sugar content was lower by 57.25%and 58.47%;and solu-ble sugars:starch ratio was lower by 71.92%and 40.75%;carotenoid content was lower by 56.69%and 36.80%;chlorophyll a content was lower by 65.18%and 51.25%;chlorophyll b content was lower by 61.61%and 51.69%;and total chlorophyll content was lower by 64.17%and 51.38%,with all these differences being statistically signifi-cant at P<0.05.In contrast,leaf water content was 81.52%±0.29%in GZ,82.80%±0.51%in SS1,and 82.50%±1.10%in SS2;carbon content was(440.24±9.29),(401.66±21.51),and(453.21±16.14)g·kg-1 respectively;C∶N ratio was 16.85±0.80,14.71±1.30,and 13.69±0.73;potassium content was(22.26±2.94),(18.95±1.60),and(25.22±1.09)mg·kg-1;starch content was(79.19±1.91),(128.97±13.59),and(63.99±10.00)g·kg-1;and MDA content was(20.34±2.81),(22.15±1.96),and(19.06±0.96)μmol·g-1,with no significant differences observed among the three sites at P>0.05.These physiological characteristics indicate that C.rosea can adapt to harsh envi-ronmental conditions on coral islands,such as seasonal drought,high temperature and strong light,through regula-tion of multiple physiological processes.[Conclusion]C.rosea has strong stress resistance and can adapt to rela-tively poor coral island soils even without soil improvement.Therefore,it can be considered as a promising species for future vegetation restoration projects on coral islands.Further in-depth research on its ecological characteristics and growth habits is recommended to better guide its application in coral island vegetation restoration.关键词
