Abstract
To implement China's national strategy of"integrated conservation and systematic management of mountains,waters,forests,farmlands,lakes,grasslands,and deserts,"Yuanshi County of Shijiazhuang City has carried out comprehensive ecological restoration in the Panlong Lake barrier area—a crucial water conservation zone and ecological security barrier in southwestern Shijiazhuang.However,long-term mining activities,soil erosion,and land degradation have caused severe ecological issues here,including low vegetation coverage,degraded river ecosystem functions,wasted land resources,and reduced biodiversity,which severely threatened regional ecological integrity.Based on an ecological conservation project in 2022,four integrated measures were implemented:(1)Remediating exposed rock slopes via geocell grids combined with eco-bags and arbor-shrub planting to boost vegetation coverage and soil conservation;(2)Restoring mining-damaged land through pit backfilling and soil improvement;(3)Creating a 21-km of riverside green belt along the Zhulong River for aquatic ecosystem rehabilitation;and(4)Developing high-standard farmlands with integrated irrigation and road networks.These systematic restoration efforts have synergistically optimized the mountain,land,forest,and wetland subsystems,significantly strengthening the watershed function and ecological barrier capacity of the Panlong Lake area.Consequently,a"clear waters and green banks"landscape has been formed,offering a practical paradigm for balancing ecological and economic benefits.This project highlights the critical role of precise ecological diagnosis and systematic governance in effective ecological restoration.关键词
