从岩溶地面塌陷防治成效管窥广州城市地质调查工作价值
Evaluating the value of Guangzhou urban geological survey work from the perspective of karst ground collapse prevention and control effectiveness

Abstract
Since the reform and opening-up,China's urbanization has progressed rapidly,creating an urgent demand for urban geological surveys.As an application-oriented,foundational,and public welfare endeavor,the practical application,follow-up services,and technical support effectiveness of urban geological survey achievements require the test of time to draw conclusions.The Guangzhou Urban Geological Survey(3D)was one of the six pilot projects selected and launched by the China Geological Survey in the early 21st century.More than a decade has passed since the project was completed.This article selects one of the project outcomes—the survey results of karst ground collapse in Guangzhou—to systematically introduce the achievements made by relevant government departments.Supported by the survey results and following the recommendations,these departments carried out a series of actions including investigation,research,prevention,control,and management.The article demonstrates that,based on a clear understanding of the three-dimensional geological structure of the city and by adhering to the laws of geological development,scientific and professional data and recommendations can guide decision-making.This approach transforms passive defense into active prevention.Through further detailed surveys and research,planning for monitoring and prevention,and engineering measures for treatment,the high-risk central urban area of Guangzhou,despite 15 years of intensive urbanization with ever-increasing pressure,has achieved a shift from frequent karst geological hazards to fewer disasters and less damage.关键词
