Research progress on the preparation and application of biochar-based composite materials
摘要
Abstract
Biochar is a carbon-rich porous material with outstanding physicochemical properties and environmental friendliness.To further enhance its performance,modifying biochar or compositing it with various functional materials to construct biochar-based composites with positive synergistic effects has become a research hotspot in recent years.This paper introduced biochar preparation methods including pyrolysis,direct carbonization,microwave carbonization,gasification,and hydrothermal synthesis,analyzing the influence of factors such as biomass feedstock,pyrolysis tem-perature,and carbonization time on biochar properties.Modification methods for biochar-based composites primarily include three approaches:physical synthesis,chemical synthesis,and biological synthesis.Biochar-magnetic compos-ites combine the advantages of biochar and magnetic materials.Magnetic particles are uniformly distributed on the bio-char surface,exhibiting specific interactions with the biochar matrix.These composites hold promising applications in environmental pollution control,catalysis,and related fields.Nanomaterials exhibit unique size and surface effects.Preparing biochar-nanocomposites by combining biochar with nanomaterials fully leverages the strengths of both,generating synergistic effects and imparting superior properties to the material.This paper summarized the current applications of biochar-based composites in environmental,energy,industrial,and agricultural sectors,concluding with an identification of future challenges and limitations facing these materials.关键词
