Abstract

The collaboration and relationship between humans and machines are significantly influen-cing the direction of digital and intelligent transformation within enterprises.Nevertheless,the mecha-nisms through which these collaboration and relationship affect organizational power dynamics and em-ployee innovation behaviors remain insufficiently explored.This study aims to elucidate the underlying mechanisms and contextual conditions that enable human-machine collaboration to enhance employee innovation.To this end,a theoretical framework titled"Human-Machine Collaboration and Human-Ma-chine Relationship-Leadership Empowerment-Employee Innovation"is developed,employing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM)alongside Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative A-nalysis(fsQCA).The empirical findings reveal several key insights:Leadership empowerment is identi-fied as a vital mediating mechanism.The interplay between human-machine collaboration and the hu-man-machine relationship produces synergistic effects via leadership empowerment,thereby significantly augmenting employee innovation behavior.A combination of high levels of human-machine collabora-tion,strong human-machine relationships,and adequate leadership empowerment collectively forms a core set of sufficient conditions for fostering innovation across various industries.The study underscores the pressing need for enterprises to establish a"Human-Machine Symbiotic Environment-Strategic Empowerment"ecosystem.This can be accomplished through targeted strategies such as optimizing work design,enhancing trust in human-machine interactions,and dynamically adjusting empowerment strategies,ultimately facilitating the co-evolution of creativity between humans and machines.
