补阳还五汤联合醒脑开窍针刺法治疗慢性脑缺血疗效观察
Effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(补阳还五汤)Combined with Consciousness-Restoring and Orifice-Opening Acupuncture in Treatment of Chronic Cerebral Ischemia and Dizziness

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(补阳还五汤)combined with consciousness-re-storing and orifice-opening acupuncture in the treatment of chronic cerebral ischemia and dizziness.Methods One hundred and four patients were randomly assigned into two groups,each with 52 cases.The control group was given conventional treatment com-bined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction.Based on this,the observation group added consciousness-restoring and orifice-opening acupuncture.The treatment in both groups lasted for 3 weeks.Then the clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores,dizziness score[dizziness assessment rating scale(DARS),dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)],neuromarkers[neuron-specific enolase(NSE),S-100b protein(S-100b),neuropeptide Y(NPY)],cerebral blood flow velocity[vertebral artery(VA),base artery(BA),middle cerebral artery(MCA)]and thrombosis-related factors[soluble CD40 ligand(sCD40L),endothelin-1(ET-1),nitric oxide(NO)]were recorded.Results The observation group reported a higher clinical efficacy rate compared to the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the observation group had lower scores on TCM syndromes,DARS and DHI compared to the control group(P＜0.05).NSE,S-100B and NPY were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The observation group had larger cerebral blood flow velocities of BA,LVA,RVA,LMCA and RMCA compared to the con-trol group(P＜0.05).The levels of sCD40L and ET-1 were decreased,and the NO level was increased in the observation group compared to that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Buyang Huanwu Decoction combined with consciousness-restoring and orifice-opening acupuncture in the treatment of chronic cerebral ischemia and dizziness can effectively ameliorate the cere-bral blood flow velocity,protect the nerve cells,inhibit the formation of thrombosis and alleviate the dizziness symptoms,thereby improving the quality of life of patients.关键词
