Improvement of Gastrointestinal Function and Mechanism after Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy by Acupoint Embedding Needle

Abstract
Objective To explore the promotion of gastrointestinal function recovery and possible mechanisms in patients un-dergoing laparoscopic total hysterectomy by embedding needles at Zusanli(ST36)and Neiguan(PC6).Methods Fifty-two pa-tients who underwent laparoscopic total hysterectomy surgery in the hospital from March 2021 to March 2024 were selected.The case card numbers were grouped using the odd even method,with 26 cases in each group.The control group received routine care,while the study group received acupoint embedding needle at Zusanli(ST36)and Neiguan(PC6)on the basis of the control group.The recovery of gastrointestinal function in two groups after surgery was observed,and the changes in levels of motilin(MTL),so-matostatin(SS),cholecystokinin(CCK)and vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)were compared at 24 and 48 hours after surgery.Results Due to the incomplete recording of statistical data for 6 patients,the final patients included in the study was 46,with 23 in the experimental group and 23 in the control group.The experimental group had a faster recovery of gastrointestinal function,with significant improvements in various observation indicators such as the time of first bowel movement,defecation time and recovery time of bowel sounds after surgery.On the other hand,the secretion levels of SS and CCK in the experimental group were better than those in the control group at 24 and 48 hours after surgery,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The se-cretion levels of plasma MTL and VIP in the experimental group at 24 and 48 hours after surgery were not statistically significant compared to those in the control group(P＞0.05),but the overall secretion levels also showed positive signals.Conclusion The patients undergoing laparoscopic total hysterectomy who received acupoint embedding needle at Zusanli(ST36)and Neiguan(PC6)after surgery can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function.The mechanism of action may be closely related to regu-lating the secretion levels of gastrointestinal hormones such as SS and CCK,and the operation is simple,safe and worthy of promo-tion.关键词
