Impact of Huatuo Jiaji Acupoints Coiling Dragon Acupuncture on Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia

Abstract
Objective To examine the efficacy of Huatuo Jiaji acupoints coiling dragon acupuncture in treating hemiplegia in stroke patients.Methods A total of 90 stroke patients admitted to the hospital between April 2022 and October 2023 were selected and randomly assigned to the control group and the observation group,with 45 patients in each group.The control group received standard admission examination and treatment,whereas the observation group received acupuncture therapy at the Huatuo Jiaji acupoints in addition to the standard treatment in the control group.A comparison was made between the two groups in terms of the clinical effectiveness,National Institute of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)scores,muscle spasm rating,capacity to do daily activi-ties and the balance ability.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in NIHSS scores between the two groups before intervention,but after inter-vention,the NIHSS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in modified Ashworth scale(MAS)scores between the two groups before intervention,but after intervention,the MAS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in activity of daily living scale(ADL)scores between the two groups before intervention,but after intervention,the ADL scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in BBS scores between the two groups before intervention,but after inter-vention,the BBS scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Huatuo Jiaji acupoints coiling dragon acupuncture method has a good therapeutic effect in patients with hemiplegia after stroke,and it is worthy of further promotion and application in clinic.关键词
