Inheritance and Innovation:Reflections on Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture in Shandong

Abstract
Taking the study of Confucian physician and Bianque in the"Three Signature Cultural Icons"of Shandong's traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)culture as an example,this paper explores pathways for groundbreaking innovations in regional TCM culture research.It argues that paradigm shifts in research methodology and the critical excavation of historical texts constitute dual imperatives for future breakthroughs.Regarding Confucianism-TCM interplay,research must transcend superficial textual comparisons to delve into their profound interactions through multidimensional perspectives,encompassing social evolution,cultural traditions,and way of thinking.For Bianque's medical culture,the foundational imperative lies in reconstructing and collating his scattered medical corpus.Only by establishing this rigorous philological groundwork—through comparative analysis of Bianque's corpus with excavated manuscripts of medical techniques,received texts such as the Huangdi's Canon of Internal Medicine and other Qin-Han medical writings—can we authentically reinterpret his historical status as the"Paragon of Medical Techniques"and redefine the intellectual history of Chinese medicine during the Qin-Han period.关键词
