Early Diagnosis and Treatment System for Cancer at the Chenghua Dis-trict Primary Care Prevention Center

Abstract
Objective:This study aims to investigate the innovative model for early cancer diagnosis and treatment established by the Urban Cancer Screening Program(UCSP)in Chenghua District,Chengdu,and to enhance multidiscipli-nary team collaboration,referral pathways,and community participation,thereby providing evidence-based strategies for improving early cancer diagnosis rates and standardized treat-ment outcomes.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted in Chenghua District from September 2022 to September 2024.The study population comprised eligible permanent residents aged 45 to 74 years.High-risk individuals were assessed using comprehensive questionnaires and biological testing,followed by clinical screening based on standardized protocols.Descriptive statistics were performed on the study database using SPSS 26.0.The data comprised participants' baseline in-formation,screening and diagnostic details,and follow-up records.Results:A total of 4,336 individuals completed the risk assessment,of whom 3,280 were identified as high-risk(75.64％).We found statistically significant differences in this high-risk rate across gender,age,and cancer types(P＜0.05).Of the 3,082 high-risk individuals who completed clinical screening,413(13.40％)screened positive.Malignant tumors were diagnosed in 46 cases(1.49％),45(97.83％)of which were detected at an early clinical stage(Ⅰ or Ⅱ).All 45 early-stage patients underwent standardized anti-tumor treat-ment.Conclusion:The UCSP established an integrated system for community-based primary screening,clinical diagnosis,and comprehensive management.By leveraging a multidisciplinary platform,standardized referrals,and a community health network,the program significantly improved early cancer detection rates and treatment efficacy,providing an innovative para-digm for urban cancer prevention and control.关键词
