摘要

Abstract

Tidal flats are crucial for the ecological stability of coastal wetland systems,and their dynamic char-acteristics are influenced by benthic microorganisms and their biofilms.Through laboratory cultivation and ero-sion experiments,the effects of biofilms at different growth stages on the characteristics of sediment erosion and resuspension has been analyzed systematically.The results show that biofilms can enhance the erosion resist-ance of sediment,and impart a rapid recovery potential for sediment biological cohesion and thereby improving the bed stability.The presence of biofilm significantly increases the critical shear stress for sediment movement and strengthens inter-particle adhesion.Even if the biofilm structure is disrupted by erosion,its adhesive prop-erty can also be recovered swiftly through sediment settling or structural redistributing after short-duration,which is in hours-scale.
