Research Hotspots and Trends of Press Needle Therapy in the Perioperative Period Based on CiteSpace

Abstract
Objective To analyze the research status and emerging trends of press needle therapy during the peri-operative period in China over the past two decades,providing reference for future related studies.Methods Relevant lit-erature on the application of press needle therapy during the perioperative period was retrieved from China National Knowl-edge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data,VIP,and the SinoMed from their inception to August 31,2024.CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software was used to analyze and visualize literature characteristics,including authors,institutions,and keywords.Results A total of 435 articles were included.The annual number of publications showed a steady increase,with multiple author collaboration groups identified.Guangdong Province and Jiangsu Province had the highest number of publishing in-stitutions.The major research institutions were universities of traditional Chinese medicine and their affiliated hospitals across the country,with limited collaboration between institutions and regions.A total of 299 keywords were identified in the keyword co-occurrence map.The top three keywords by frequency were"press needle","pain",and"nausea and vomi-ting",while the top three by centrality were"press needle","pain",and"embedded needle".In the past three years,the emerging keywords included"gastrointestinal function","sleep quality",and"satisfaction".The most commonly used acu-point was Neiguan(PC6),and the most frequently applied technique was auricular embedded needling.Conclusion In recent years,research on press needle therapy during the perioperative period has increased year by year.The main re-search hotspots have focused on postoperative pain,nausea and vomiting,and the Neiguan(PC6).Future research trends and frontiers are expected to concentrate on multiple systemic symptoms such as pain,gastrointestinal function,and sleep quality,aiming to continuously improve quality and patient satisfaction and to accelerate postoperative recovery.关键词
