Research on the Deformation Patterns of Strata and Old Buildings Beneath Ultra-shallow Covering Silt Layers During Slurry Shield

Abstract
In order to investigate the deformation patterns of strata and buildings during slurry shield crossing old buildings in ultra-shallow covering silt layers,this study is based on the shield tunnel for the exit line of the Guangzhou Metro Line 10 at the Guanggang New Town vehicle depot.Through numerical simulations and field monitoring,the law of ground settlement,heave and building deformation during shield crossing the old buildings was studied.The results indicated that:1)With the increment of vertical stress increase with depth,a radial decay stress field cen-tered around the building was formed.2)The primary deformation modes involved settlement at the tunnel crown and uplift at the bottom(including the foundation of the building):the maximum settlement point was consistently located at the first ring,while the maximum uplift point was situated just beneath the excavation face;Both surface and building deformations exhibited a pattern of settlement close to the tunnel and uplift further away from it.3)The observed surface settlement curve closely aligned with the results from numerical simulations,with discrepancies in maximum settlement and uplift of 2%and 4%,respectively.These findings established a solid theoretical foundation for effectively managing construction-induced disturbances in soft silt layers and the associated settlement risks of old buildings,providing direct references.关键词
