Abstract

Boundary identification is crucial in the interpretation of gravity and magnetic potential field data.By analyzing the lateral inhomogeneity of geological bodies,the boundary of geological bodies is identified,which plays a key role in the fields of metal ore exploration and regional structure research.The Tilt Angle method can effectively highlight the abnormal characteristics of low amplitude and short wavelength,and has unique advantages in identifying the boundary of field source bodies with different buried depths.Still,there is a problem of"analytical singularity"in the calculation.To improve the problem of low accuracy and poor effect of recognition results,this paper uses several improved Tilt Angle methods to identify the boundary of the gravity potential field.Through model test and example application,the advantages and disadvantages of the Tilt Angle method and its improved algorithm in gravity field source boundary identification are compared and analyzed,and its practical application effect is comprehensively discussed.The model test results show that the improved tilt gradient method reduces the oscillation phenomenon in the background region and improves the stability of the calculation results.The horizontal gradient tilt angle method can well balance the amplitude intensity of deep and shallow anomalies,and is less affected by noise.The recognition effect of the model boundary is the best,and the accuracy of the identified boundary information is high.The analysis of gravity data processing in a block of Anza Basin in Kenya shows that the Tile Angle method can accurately identify the boundary of the geological body,and the divided faults are obvious,and the boundary information is clear.A total of 17 faults in the NW direction and NE direction are divided,providing a geophysical basis for further study of the Anza Basin.
