2940nm Erbium Fractional Laser Combined with Photodynamic Therapy in Treating Facial Refractory Flat Warts

Abstract
Objective To explore the cosmetic effect of 2 940 nm erbium fractional laser combined with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy(ALA-PDT)in the treatment of patients with facial refractory flat warts.Methods 138 patients with facial refractory flat warts in the hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as research subjects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group(n=46),laser group(n=46)and observation group(n=46).The control group was treated with ALA-PDT,and the laser group was given 2 940 nm erbium fractional laser,and the observation group was given 2 940 nm erbium fractional laser combined with ALA-PDT,and the three groups were treated for 3 times with an interval of 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy after 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment,skin physiological conditions[water content of stratum corneum,transepidermal water loss(TEWL),pruritus score,skin texture value]and Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)score before and after treatment,adverse reactions,recurrence rate and cosmetic satisfaction rate were compared among the three groups.Results The total effective rates in observation group after 4 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment were higher than those in control group and laser group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the water content of stratum corneum and skin texture value in the three groups were increased(P＜0.05)while the TEWL and pruritus score were decreased(P＜0.05),and after treatment,the improvements in observation group were more significant than those in control group and laser group(P＜0.05),but there were no statistically significant differences between control group and laser group(P＞0.05).The DLQI score in the three groups was decreased after treatment(P＜0.05),and the score in observation group was lower than that in control group and laser group after treatment(P＜0.05),but no significant difference was observed in DLQI score between control group and laser group(P＞0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence rates of adverse reactions among the three groups(P＞0.05).Comparison of recurrence rate revealed no significant difference between control group and laser group(P＞0.05),but the follow-up recurrence rate in observation group was lower than that in control group and laser group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparison of cosmetic satisfaction between control group and laser group(P＞0.05),but the cosmetic satisfaction rate was higher in observation group than that in control and laser groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion 2 940 nm erbium fractional laser combined with ALA-PDT in the treatment of patients with facial refractory flat warts can improve the clinical therapeutic effect,reduce the recurrence,and enhance the quality of life and cosmetic satisfaction of patients.关键词
