Abstract
Objective To compare the advantages,disadvantages,and satisfaction of porcelain veneer restoration technology and all-ceramic crowns restoration for anterior tooth injury.Methods A total of 98 patients with anterior tooth dental injuries treated at the 902nd Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from March 2020 to March 2024 were selected were selected and randomly divided into two groups using a lottery method:the all-ceramic group(49 cases,54 teeth,treated with all-ceramic crowns)and the veneer group(49 cases,57 teeth,treated with veneers).The restoration effects,aesthetic effects,and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.The levels of gingival crevicular fluid matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and alkaline phosphatase(ALP)before and after restoration were compared between the two groups.The incidence of adverse events was also compared between the two groups.Results The excellent and good rates of restoration effect and satisfaction in the veneer group were higher than those in the all-ceramic group(P＜0.05).The scores for color matching and texture,shape and contour,translucency and gloss,marginal adaptation,overall coordination,and total score in the veneer group were higher than those in the all-ceramic group(P＜0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the levels of MMP-2 and ALP in gingival crevicular fluid between the two groups before restoration(P＞0.05).Compared with the all-ceramic group,the levels of MMP-2 and ALP in gingival crevicular fluid decreased in the veneer group after restoration(P＜0.05).Compared with before restoration,the levels of MMP-2 and ALP in gingival crevicular fluid increased in the all-ceramic group(P＜0.05),while the changes in the veneer group were not significant(P＞0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the veneer group was lower than that in the all-ceramic group(P＜0.05).Conclusion For anterior tooth injury restoration,the veneer restoration technology has better restoration effects,aesthetic effects,and satisfaction compared to all-ceramic restoration.It can also reduce inflammatory response and the incidence of adverse events.关键词
