Abstract
Objective To investigate the serum levels of adiponectin(ADPN),mucin 1(MUC1)and C-C chemokine ligand 11(CCL11)in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC)and their correlation with disease activity and prognosis. Methods A total of 70 patients with active UC admitted to our department from January 2021 to February 2023 were selected and divided into the mild group(33 cases),the moderate group(25 cases),and the severe group(12 cases)based on the disease condition.According to the follow-up results(follow-up for 2 years),they were divided into the good prognosis group(46 cases)and the poor prognosis group(24 cases).Total 70 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The serum levels of ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 in all subjects were detected, and their correlation with disease activity and prognosis in UC patients was analyzed. Results The serum levels of ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 in the UC group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05).The serum levels of ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 in UC patients were gradually elevated with the increase of disease activity(P<0.05).Elevated serum ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 were risk factors affecting disease activity(P<0.05).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)of the combined detection of serum ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 for poor prognosis in UC was 0.985,which was higher than that of the single detection of ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11(0.781,0.793,0.753 respectively). Conclusion The serum levels of ADPN,MUC1,and CCL11 in UC patients are positively correlated with the disease activity. The combined detection of the three has certain value in predicting the activ-ity and prognosis of UC.关键词
