Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of retention enema with compound Huangbai Liquid combined with oral administration of mesalazine enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of distal ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods A total of 66 patients with distal UC admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to Novem-ber 2024 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 33 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral administration of mesalazine enteric-coated tablets,while the observation group was additionally given retention enema with compound Huangbai Liquid on the basis of oral mesalazine enteric-coated tablets.Both groups were treated continuously for 12 weeks.The clinical effi-cacy,modified Mayo scores and serum levels of inflammatory factors before and after treatment,as well as the recurrence rate 6 months after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effec-tive rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the modified Mayo scores and the serum levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05);and the above indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Six months after treatment,the recurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Reten-tion enema with compound Huangbai Liquid combined with oral administration of mesalazine enteric-coated tab-lets has a definite efficacy in the treatment of distal UC,can effectively reduce the inflammatory response and lower the recurrence rate,and has clinical application value.关键词
