Study on The Intrinsic Mechanisms and Implementation Pathways of High-Quality Development in Public Hospi-tals Driven by Lean Thinking
摘要
Abstract
High-quality development of public hospitals is an imperative response to adapt to the changes in the principal social contradiction in China and meet the people's health needs,with the core of achieving the "Three Transformations and Three Improvements".Based on the "Purpose-Process-People"(3P)theory of Lean Thinking,the intrinsic mechanisms and imple-mentation pathways of the high-quality development of public hospitals driven by Lean Thinking were systematically investigated.Lean Thinking drives the "Three Transformations"via three core mechanisms,including "Patient Demand First"purpose-trac-tion mechanism,"Waste Elimination"process-optimization mechanism,and "Respect for People"human-oriented enabling mechanism.Based on which,the implementation pathways for the "Three Improvements"were proposed,mainly as enhancing medical service quality by focusing on technological advancement,service innovation,and operational optimization,improving hospital service efficiency by reducing idleness/waste,standardizing quality control,and enhancing process coordination,activa-ting staff motivation through respecting employees,increasing employee satisfaction,and enhancing employee experience.The the-oretical framework for Lean Thinking-driven high-quality development in public hospitals was constructed,which can provide theoretical support and practical guidance for deepening research on lean healthcare theory and building a high-quality develop-ment system for public hospitals with Chinese characteristics.关键词
