Causes,Status Quo and Remediation Progress of Cadmium and Arsenic Pollution of Farmland in Mining Areas
摘要
Abstract
Pollution arising from waste gas, waste water, and solid waste produced in mining operations contaminates farmland soils in mining areas via atmospheric deposition and irrigation pathways, resulting in the decline of soil quality and the excessive cadmium(Cd)and arsenic(As)content in crops, which seriously threatens the sustainable development of agriculture and human health. This paper reviews the causes, current status, and characteristics of Cd and As pollution in farmland soil within mining areas, summarizes the current research advances in soil cadmium-arsenic co-pollution technologies, and analyzes the advantages and limitations of different remediation approaches.Furthermore, the paper also identifies key challenges that need to be addressed and suggests future directions for cadmium-arsenic co-pollution technology, and provide scientific insights for the management of soil Cd and As contamination.关键词
