Low Voltage Ride-through Control Strategy for Active-supporting Converters Based on Adaptive Hybrid Current Control

Abstract
When an asymmetric gird faults occurs,active support energy storage converters typically employ positive and negative sequence separation control to suppress negative sequence currents.However,under symmetrical operating conditions,the delays introduced by the sequence separation and control processes can exacerbate the transient process of grid faults,potentially causing output current over-limits and oscillations.To address this issue,a low voltage ride-through(LVRT)control strategy based on adaptive hybrid current control for active-supporting converters is proposed.By analyzing the distinct characteristics of symmetric and asymmetric grid faults,a rapid fault type identification method is developed.This enables adaptive selection of whether to execute sequence component separation and control processes,thereby improving transient performance during both fault occurrence and recovery stages.The proposed method not only suppresses grid fault current peaks but also reduces transient overcurrent risks caused by unnecessary delays from sequence component processing,enhancing the converter's LVRT capability and active grid support performance.Finally,simulation results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed methodology.关键词
