Synthesis of a uranyl silicate crystal[K4Cs2][(UO2)3(Si8O22)]via a high-temperature molten salt method
摘要
Abstract
To comprehensively investigate the potential effects of uranyl silicates on uranium and radionuclide mi-gration during the geological disposal of spent nuclear fuel,this work aims to synthesize a novel uranyl silicate crys-tal[K4Cs2][(UO2)3(Si8O22)]via a high-temperature molten salt method.The crystal structure was characterized through single-crystal X-ray diffraction(XRD),powder XRD,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and Raman spectroscopy.The crystal adopts a monoclinic framework in the C2/m space group,featuring a three-dimensional architecture composed of uranyl-centered hexagonal bipyramids and corner-sharing SiO4 tetrahedra.These tetrahedra assemble into octameric[Si8O22]12-units,with potassium and cesium ions resi-ding in structural channels to maintain charge balance.Variable-temperature XRD analyses further confirmed its excellent thermal stability within the range of 50~900℃.关键词
