Abstract

As one of the main replacements of environmentally friendly refrigerants,R290 is increasingly in demand for flow boiling heat transfer calculations in tubes.However,the applicability of existing correlations for flow boiling heat transfer in tubes using R290 remains unclear.There are significant discrepancies in the available experimental data and the evaluation of these correlations,with some conclusions even contradicting each other.This causes considerable difficulty in selecting the appropriate calculation correlation.To address this issue,531 sets of experimental data on flow boiling heat transfer of R290 in tubes were extensively gathered from existing research and the four correlations formulas with high accuracy in current studies were evaluated and analyzed.Through the comparative analysis of these four correlations,the heat transfer correlation with the smallest error was identified.Based on this,the correlation was fitted and corrected to improve its calculation accuracy.After correction,the average absolute error of the heat transfer correlation decreases from 34.8%to 23.3%,significantly enhancing the accuracy of the calculation results.
