Spatial Layout Characteristics of New Energy Industry Land Use:A Case Study of the Photovoltaic Industry in Xuyi County,Jiangsu Province

Abstract
As a crucial form of renewable and clean energy,photovoltaic(PV)power generation constitutes a core component of China's new energy industry.Scientifically regulating its spatial layout is a prerequisite for the successful implementation of PV projects.Taking Xuyi County in Huai'an City as a case study,this research systematically investigated the spatial layout characteristics of land suitable for the PV industry through land type screening,constraint factor analysis,aggregation analysis,and patch morphology analysis.The results indicated that,influenced by natural resource endowments,the primary land types suitable for PV development in Xuyi County were pond water surfaces and other forest land.The spatial layout of potential PV sites was significantly constrained by factors such as land use type,the"Three Zones and Three Lines"spatial control policy,river and lake management lines,while the impact of cultural protection lines was relatively minor.Analysis of patch aggregation revealed that the distance between suitable patches was predominantly below 200 meters,with the degree of aggregation stabilizing at distances between 500 and 600 meters,which facilitated the formation of developable clusters.Land type and topography were identified as key factors influencing patch morphology.Comprehensive evaluation suggests that the northwestern region and the areas surrounding mountains in Xuyi County are suitable for large-scale PV project development.关键词
