AI Empowering Subject Information Services in University Libraries
摘要
Abstract
[Research purpose]In the context of the deepening promotion of the national construction of"world-class universities and first-class disciplines"(hereinafter referred to as the Double First-Class Initiative)and the digitalization of education strategy,this study explores how artificial intelligence(AI)technology can drive the intelligent transformation of subject information services in university libraries,illustrating how service models can better confront the current challenges,and enhancing the strategic support values of these service.[Research method]Based on practical research from 36 A-level universities of the Double First-Class Initiative in China,this study uses literature review,online surveys,and model construction to systematically outline the diverse development patterns of subject information services.Additionally,an integrated empowerment framework that consists three layers,namely,data layer,AI processing layer,and disciplinary information service layer,is constructed to analyze the application mechanism of AI technology in key service scenarios.[Research conclusion]The research finds that current subject information services have formed six categories,including basic support,discipline analysis and evaluation,intellectual property services,intelligent innovation,disciplinary embedded type,and characteristic strategic type.However,these services commonly face challenges such as data integration bottlenecks,shallow technology applications,and service homogenization.By constructing an intelligent analysis framework,the effectiveness of services such as precise consultation,in-depth analysis,personalized recommendations,talent evaluation,and intellectual property management can be significantly improved.It is necessary to strengthen data governance,deepening technological integration,and building collaborative ecosystems to promote the leap of services from"disciplinary support"to"strategic leadership",and provide forward-looking decision support for the future construction of the Double First-Class Initiative.关键词
