Abstract

Objective To design an airtightness device based on the constant pressure method and use it for the airtightness detection of the rooms in the type b2 laboratory within ABSL-3.Methods Based on the require-ments of airtightness detection using the constant pressure method and the structural characteristics of type b2 laboratory within ABSL-3 rooms,a device composed of a support frame,a negative pressure air pump,a flow regulating valve,a glass rotameter and a fixing support frame,etc.,was designed.Three type b2 laboratory within ABSL-3 rooms and their buffer rooms that had passed airtightness detection by a third party were se-lected as the detection objects.This device was used to maintain the relative negative pressure value of the rooms below-250 Pa for airtightness detection.Result The detection results of the device were basically con-sistent with the third-party detection results and met the standard requirements.Conclusion By using this de-vice,the rapid and accurate detection of the airtightness of type b2 laboratory within ABSL-3 rooms can be achieved.It effectively meets the necessary airtightness detection requirements and has good value for promo-tion and application.
