Research progress on the preparation and application of gold nanoparticle dimers

摘要

Abstract

Compared with individual gold nanoparticles,gold nanoparticle dimers exhibit unique electric field intensity and plasmonic effects.Due to the surface plasmon resonance effect inherent to the dimer structure,gold nanoparticle dimers can be applied in fields such as information encryption,biosensing,and fluorescence enhancement.The synthesis methods and physical properties of gold nanoparticles are firstly introduced,followed by various assembly methods for synthesizing gold nanoparticle dimers,including differential centrifugation of dimers using salt concentration,dimer synthesis on magnetic colloidal substrate,laser-scanning-guided assembly of dimers,and DNA-based nanonetwork assembly of dimers.Then,the physical properties and application scenarios of gold nanoparticle dimers are discussed.Finally,the recent advances in their applications are summarized with emphasis,and prospects for development in different fields are presented.
