Abstract

Compressed Air Energy Storage(CAES)technology is considered as one of the large-scale energy storage technologies with significant development potential.The improvement of gas turbine technology can provide critical components with high performance for CAES systems,thereby,the system efficiency can be improved.Based on the current technology level of gas turbine,the integrated coupling system of CAES with gas turbine components was studied.The design of this system was carried out based on the characteristic parameters of a 6F class gas turbine,and the influence of key parameters on the thermodynamic performance was analyzed,accordingly,three configuration schemes were proposed.The analysis result showed that the energy conversion efficiency of all the three coupling systems exceeded 60%,which demonstrated that recycling of compression heat could significantly improve the overall performance of the system.The research findings can provide reference for the development of CAES systems.
