Abstract

Kazuo Inamori is revered as a contemporary model in the business world,whose advocacy of an"altruistic"management philosophy has introduced a dimension of"Tao"(the Way)into modern management studies,achieving a profound correction and elevation.Amid a global wave of enthusi-asm for learning from him-including within Chinese enterprises-it is essential to reflect calmly:What exactly should we learn from Kazuo Inamori?On one hand,learning from Inamori should go beyond tangible"tools"(such as the Amoeba management model)and focus instead on the intangible"Tao,"centering on the cultivation of the entrepreneur's mindset and the fundamental transformation of orga-nizational culture.On the other hand,we must also clearly recognize that Inamori's philosophy still faces fundamental challenges:Core concepts such as"respecting the divine and loving people"and"al-truism"lack systematic theoretical justification,resulting in a"persuasion dilemma"and theoretical gaps within his philosophy.This void not only affects the depth of practical understanding and the ef-fectiveness of learning and transmission but also limits its theoretical completeness and future develop-ment in the field of management.While entrepreneurs may practice these principles without fully un-derstanding their theoretical underpinnings,academic institutions-especially Inamori Academies-must take on the theoretical responsibility of"understanding the why."They should return to the roots of"selfless altruism"and"formless altruism"within traditional Chinese culture to carry out systematic theoretical construction,filling the justification gap and thereby establishing a solid foundation for In-amori's philosophy.
