Abstract
In May 2025,the Shanghai Nursing Association issued the Association Standard Operation Specification for the Collection of Adult Blood Culture Specimens.This operation specification standardizes the collection of adult blood culture specimens,covering basic requirements(such as adherence to blood collection indications and hand hygiene),procedures(including pre-procedure preparation,intra-procedure implementation,and post-procedure handling),occupational protection,and essential considerations for collection in special circumstances.This article interprets the formulation process and methods,main contents,and recommendations for clinical application and promotion of this association standard,aiming to help healthcare providers at all levels of medical institutions better understand and implement the standard,and provide a robust reference for standardizing practices,improving pathogen detection rates and diagnostic accuracy,and reducing patient discomfort and complications.关键词
