Abstract
Objective To investigate the current status and influencing factors of attitudes towards seeking professional psychological help among postpartum women, aiming to provide an evidence-based reference for developing targeted psychological support strategies and improving psychological health services for this population. Methods From August to October 2024,410 postpartum women admitted to the obstetric ward or postpartum clinic at a Grade Ⅲ-A hospital in Yantai City were selected by convenience sampling. They were investigated using the General Information Questionnaire, the Attitudes Towards Seeking Professional Psychological Help(ATSPPH),the Family Adaptation,Partnership,Growth,Affection and Resolve Index Scale(APGAR)and the Questionnaire of Stigma for Seeking Professional Psychological Help(SSPPH).Results The ATSPPH scores for the postpartum women were(99.78±26.01)points,the SSRPH scores were(25.44±8.28)points,and the APGAR scores were(6.69±3.27)points.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that current residence, education level, employment status, monthly household income per capita, planned pregnancy or not,APGAR score, and SSRPH score were independent factors affecting the ATSPPH score(P<0.05),explaining 52.1%of the total variation. Conclusion The attitudes of postpartum women towards seeking professional psychological help are generally at a moderate to above-average level, with significant room for improvement.Healthcare providers should prioritize women who come from rural areas, have low education levels, are unemployed, have low monthly household income per capita,or have experienced unplanned pregnancies.Besides, efforts should be made to enhance their family APGAR and reduce stigma associated with seeking professional psychological help, thereby improving their attitudes towards seeking professional psychological help and safeguarding their physical and mental health.关键词
