Fang Zhaohui's experience in treating Hashimoto's thyroiditis from the perspective of regulating Qi activity
摘要
Abstract
Hashimoto's thyroiditis(HT)is a prevalent chronic autoimmune disease with an increasing incidence in recent years.The etiology and pathogenesis of HT remain unclear,though it is widely believed to involve interactions among genetic predisposition,environmental factors,and immune dysregulation.Based on its clinical characteristics,HT is clas-sified into the categories of"goiter"and"consumptive disease"in traditional Chinese medicine.And traditional Chinese medicine offers unique therapeutic advantages.According to the ascending and descending theory of Qi activity,the survival and transformation of all things in nature depend on the ascending and descending movement of Qi.As the ancient saying goes,"All diseases arise from Qi disorders",and normal life activities rely on smooth Qi circulation.Therefore,regulating Qi circulation is a fundamental principle in treating various diseases.Through years of clinical practice,Professor Fang Zhaohui has concluded that the onset and progression of HT are closely associated with disrupted Qi circulation in the hu-man body,with spleen deficiency,liver stagnation,phlegm coagulation,and blood stasis being its core pathogenesis.Emo-tional factors play a significant role in the development of thyroid diseases.By applying the ascending and descending theory of Qi activity and adopting the regulation of Qi activity as the primary treatment strategy,Prof.Fang uses Xiaochaihu Decoc-tion as the base formula for HT treatment,achieving favorable clinical outcomes.This approach provides a novel integrated TCM-Western medicine treatment strategy for HT.关键词
