Abstract

The article introduced the preparation of a carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)-modified polyacrylamide(PAM)hydrogel composite with g-C3N5 photocatalyst(PAM/CMC/g-C3N5)and characterized it using a series of techniques.The results indicated that the degradation rate of methylene blue solution by the PAM/CMC/g-C3N5 composite photocatalyst could reach 91.7%,demonstrating excellent degradation performance.In the cyclic experiments,after four cycles,the degradation rate of methylene blue solution by PAM/CMC/g-C3N5 still reached 81.4%.Mechanistic experiments confirmed that hydroxyl radicals played a dominant role in the photocatalytic degradation process,followed by superoxide radicals and holes.As a novel polymer composite,PAM/CMC/g-C3N5 combined the unique properties of hydrogels with the photocatalytic activity of the photocatalyst,showing potential for application in the field of wastewater treatment.
