New Quality Productivity Index Measurement and Structural Configuration Effect Research

Abstract
Based on the connotation of new quality productivity,this paper constructs an evaluation index system of new quality productivity from two dimensions:the innovation of productivity factors and the productivity transformation of innovation factors.And then,the paper calculates the index and sub-dimensional index of new quality productivity in China from 2014 to 2023,and finally uses the fsQCA method to reveal the structural configuration effect of the new quality productivity index from the perspective of internal constituent elements.The research finds that high-level configurations are mainly distributed in eastern and some central provinces,specifically including multiple paths such as the type dominated by new quality workers and new quality la-bor objects,the type where new quality labor objects and institutional and mechanism innovation are coordinated,and the type driv-en by multiple factors,and that the non-high configuration is concentrated in the western region,sporadically distributed in the northeastern and central regions,manifested as the absence of new types of labor objects,technological innovation and industrial in-novation,or the compound deficiency of multiple elements,etc.The study results are shown as follows:A single factor is not a nec-essary condition,but the synergy among factors is the key driving force of new quality productivity.Significant spatial heterogene-ity exists among regions:eastern regions rely on the interaction of innovative factors,while western regions are constrained by sys-temic deficiencies.New quality laborers and institutional innovation play pivotal roles in most high-level configurations.关键词
