摘要

Abstract

This paper constructs a measurement system for the development level of regional digital ecology.Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2013 to 2022,the paper calculates the development level of digital ecosystem in each province of China,then uses Kernel density estimation and Markov chain to depict the distribution dynamics of the development level of digital ecology across the country and in the four major regions,and finally adopts the coefficient of variation method and panel model to conductσ convergence and β convergence analyses to explain its spatial convergence trend.The findings are shown as the following:First,the overall development level of the digital ecology across the country and in the four major regions has been increasing year by year,but there are significant spatial differences,presenting a gradient distribution pattern.Second,from the perspective of dynamic evolution characteristics,the development gap among regions is showing an expanding trend,and there are varying degrees of polarization phenomena within the eastern,western and northeastern regions.Third,the results of the convergence analysis show thatσ convergence exists in the whole country and most regions,all of which exhibit significant abso-lute β convergence and conditional β convergence trends.
