摘要

Abstract

Traditional control chart studies often assume that parameters are known,but in practical industrial applications,they are usually unavailable in advance.Against this background,this paper proposes a truncation-based one-sided EWMA(X)control chart used for detecting mean shifts under unknown parameters.In order to analyze the characteristics of its running chain length,the state transition matrix Q̂with parameter estimation is derived by using the Markov chain method,and the monitoring performance is evaluated by using the unconditional average run length((AARL)).The experimental results show that compared with the situation where parameters are known,although the parameter estimation error will affect the controlled and out-of-con-trol(AARL)performance of the one-sided TEWMA(X)control chart,the reasonable use of the corrected control limit can effec-tively mitigate this negative impact.Meanwhile,compared with the one-sided EWMA(X)control chart using the reflection bound-ary method,it is found that when the process parameters are unknown,the one-sided TEWMA(X)control chart has a better moni-toring effect on medium and large offsets.
