Application of artificial intelligence technology to the regulation and control of natural gas pipeline networks:Technological innovation,evolutionary pathway,and strategic prospect

Abstract
As a key infrastructure in the national energy supply chain,the safety and control level of natural gas pipeline networks are directly related to energy strategic security and livelihood security.In the context of multi-energy coupling and intelligent transformation,artificial intelligence(AI)technologies,with their advantages in data processing and self-learning,are becoming a key driving force to upgrade the intelligentization of natural gas pipeline networks.Nevertheless,the application of AI technologies in the industry of natural gas pipeline network still faces prominent challenges such as incomplete data management,insufficient simulation efficiency,weak model transferability,and limited adaptability to diverse working conditions.Based on the data-mechanism collaborated driving principle,combined with the operation data of natural gas pipeline networks and the resources of intelligent algorithm,this paper constructs an intelligent control technological framework containing data safety guarantee,intelligent simulation and"dual-brain collaborated"model library under the constraint of extreme situations and diverse working conditions,and then studies the mechanisms of autonomous learning and multi-scenario response in the intelligent control of natural gas pipeline networks.The following results are obtained.First,the data foundation for AI modeling is tamped on the basis of closed-loop data governance mechanism and lifecycle data management.Second,the data-mechanism collaborated simulation technology improves the efficiency of solving complex systems and the capability of nonlinear modeling.Third,the"dual-brain collaborated"model library and the assessable switching mechanism enhance the adaptability of the system to diverse working conditions.Fourth,the multi-scenario differentiated control strategies make possible the reliable response and autonomous learning of natural gas pipeline networks under extreme conditions.In conclusion,the proposed intelligent control framework can provide a theoretical reference for the operation safety,control efficiency and lifecycle optimization of natural gas pipeline networks,and a methodological guidance for the intelligentization upgrading of other large energy infrastructures.In the future study,it is recommended to focus on model's generalization ability and collaborated optimization ability in multi-energy coupling scenarios.关键词
