Abstract

To address the issues of significant differences in fracturing effects and poor applicability of traditional fracture morphology monitoring methods in the deep shale gas reservoirs of the Upper Ordovician Wufeng and the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formations in the Luzhou block,southern Sichuan Basin,it is necessary to quickly and effectively identify the induced fracture network patterns and evaluate the fracture parameters.In this paper,the induced fracture networks are identified as three patterns:stimulation zoning,complex fracture network,and single main fracture,depending on the actual induced fracture morphologies in the area.Pressure-drop well test models are established respectively for the patterns,and a method of fracture parameter inversion based on pump-off pressure-drop data is formed through well test interpretation.Furthermore,the pump-off pressure-drop analysis is conducted on the 31-stage fracturing curves of a multi-stage fractured horizontal well(Well YH75-1),to obtain the fracture parameters for individual stages.The following results are obtained.(i)The proposed method enables the quantitative evaluation of single-stage fracture parameters for the post-fractured gas well,with easily accessible basic data and high analysis efficiency.(ii)The stimulation zoning and complex fracture network patterns are dominant in the post-fractured Well YH75-1,accounting for 84%in total,indicating that the well are highly stimulated with a complex fracture morphology.(iii)The accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparing the inversion results of fracture parameters with those of fracturing numerical simulation,with an average error of 6.2%,and by integrating microseismic monitoring results with geological model insights.This study provides a simple and practical real-time analysis method for shale gas reservoir stimulation,which can serve as a reliable basis for fracturing evaluation.
