摘要

Abstract

Large infrastructure components,such as high-pressure metal parts in signal towers and bridges can experience fatigue cracking over time due to environmental corrosion and high stress.Regular monitoring of the health of these high-pressure components can effectively reduce or prevent major accidents.Eddy current array(ECA)testing is an emerging branch of eddy current testing(ECT),its sensor coils are arranged in an array in a certain manner,enabling large-area and rapid scanning without the need for moving the scanning structure,thus improving detection efficiency.Based on the principles of ECT,a FPC matrix eddy current sensor and crack identification system,as well as a host computer graphics visualization processing program based on Matlab,are designed.The experimental verification of the identification system is conducted.In order to simulate real defects,artificial defects are set on the surface of non-planar structural metal test pieces,and the FPC matrix eddy current sensor and crack identification system are used to detect and identify the simulated defects.The results show that the system can effectively identify defects measuring 10 mm in length,1 mm in width,and 0.5 mm in depth.
