摘要
Abstract
Enhancing feed conversion efficiency(FCE)is paramount to optimizing livestock production profitability,while also addressing resource utilization efficiency,environmental sustainability,and national food security.Multiple strategies,including genetic breeding,nutritional manipulation,and improving rearing environments,have proven effective in elevating FCE.Among these strategies,genetic breeding stands as a fundamental technical approach and has increasingly become the dominant direction in modern research.With the development of intelligent and molecular breeding technologies,comprehensive analyses of phenotypic,genotypic,pedigree,and omics data have enabled a deeper exploration into the genetic foundation and molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying FCE in livestock and poultry.The ultimate goal is to enhance feed utilization efficiency through breeding improvements.This paper reviews the primary methodologies currently employed in FCE research,elucidates the advancements in the application of modern breeding technologies to improve FCE,and summarizes the key biological factors influencing FCE variations as well as their underlying molecular mechanisms.It aims to provide a more comprehensive and insightful perspective for further enhancing FCE and offer valuable insights for the sustainable development of the livestock and poultry industry.关键词
