Effects and Underlying Molecular Mechanisms of Organic Selenium on Reproductive Performance in Sows
摘要
Abstract
With the expansion of large-scale pig farming operations,the nutritional requirements of sows have increased significantly.Selenium deficiency has progressively impacted their reproductive performance,thereby adversely affecting both production efficiency and economic returns.Organic selenium is a compound made of elemental selenium combined with organic molecules,which has multiple functions such as antioxidant,immune-enhancing and anti-inflammatory.In recent years,more and more studies have shown that the addition of organic selenium to diets is important for enhancing sow reproductive performance.This paper reviews the research progress on the existence form of organic selenium,its effect on sow reproductive performance and piglet growth performance,and its molecular mechanism,aiming to provide a scientific basis for the application of organic selenium in sow breeding.关键词
