Visual analysis of bone metabolism research hotspots
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the hotspots and trends in bone metabolism research over the past decade by bibliometric methods,with a particular focus on forecasting future directions in bone metabolism research.Methods All literature indexed in the Web of Science database from January 2014 to August 2024,with the theme of"bone metabo-lism,"were systematically searched,de-duplicated and screened.Utilizing bibliometric techniques,key data including author names,nationalities,research institutions,journal titles,total citation frequencies and keywords from all screened original documents were extracted.Statistical analysis was then conducted on this comprehensive dataset.Results During the specified research period,a total of 9 424 valid original literature related to bone metabolism were identified.Globally,the number of publications in this field has been steadily increasing since 2014.Notably,China leads in terms of publica-tion volume within this domain.Among institutions,Sichuan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University have produced the highest number of publications.The journal Bone stands out as the most prolific in publishing articles on this topic.The research hotspot time-overlay heatmap indicates that the current research hotspots mainly focus on the diagnosis and treat-ment of bone-related diseases and the development of targeted drugs,while studies on gut microbiota and exosomes repre-sent emerging research directions.Conclusion Over the past decade,research on bone metabolism mechanisms has shown rapid growth,with China taking a leading position in this field.Current research hotspots and trends mainly focus on the diagnosis and treatment of bone-related diseases,the development of targeted drugs and studies on gut microbiota and exosomes.关键词
